From the Fayette Heritage Archives and Museum:
According to Norman C. Krischke: this site is located about 5 miles south of West Point and 1.3 miles east of FM 154 off Reiss Road/County Road 139. It is 0.3 mile south of Reiss Road/County Road 139 beyond Rocky Creek Ranch Gate #3. The cemetery is surrounded with a five-strand barbed wire fence on steel posts set in concrete with a double gate on the south side. The enclosure measures about 108 x 114 feet.
See Krischke's booklet: "Hale Cemetery or Brown Cemetery", May 1, 1973 [97.26.8 Cemetery files] in the Fayette Heritage Archives for his full report.
Surveyed May 1, 1999 by Lana (Sawey) LeCroy and Gwen (Brewer) McDaniel. Transcribed by Gwen (Brewer) McDaniel. Surveyed again in 2010 by Diane Mitchell with corrections to several dates.
From La Grange, go west on State Hwy 71 to West Point. Turn left (south) on Hwy 154 about 5 miles. At County Road 139 (Reiss Road) turn left (east) and go 1.3 miles. The cemetery sits .3 mile off the road on the right.
