Cochran Cemetery is located 0.7 mile west of the Armstrong-Derry Road which passes through the Armstrong Colony in the southwest part of Fayette County and 0.3 mile south of an aluminum gate on Sparta Field Road.The cemetery apparently was established in 1868 upon burial of a A. Cochran, born 16 Jun 1836 and died 4 February 1868.
There are seven graves in the cemetery which is enclosed with a chain-link fence. There is a cedar tree in about the center of the cemetery and another at the northeast corner. The cemetery is covered with brush.
